We are opening a new campus!
Ray Miller (Senior Pastor at Crievewood), Lisa Bonick (Begin Anew Board Chair), and Will Sensing (Executive Pastor at Crievewood) signing patnership documents!
We are excited to announce that Begin Anew is launching a new campus in partnership with Crievewood Baptist Church - expanding a valued relationship that has spanned 16 years. After thoughtful prayer, extensive community needs research, and collaborative discussions, we are proud to share this new campus will officially open in August 2025.
The Crievewood Campus will be hosted at Crievewood Baptist Church, the home church of Nelda Brown, our beloved and dedicated champion for 28 years.
This campus will serve an area of critical need in Davidson County, located just a few miles from Metro Council Districts 26, 27, and 30. According to the 2023 American Community Survey (ACS), 44% of the population of Council District 30 and 29% in District 26 report speaking English “less than very well,” In addition, District 30 has a significantly high percentage – 27% - of adults aged 18 and older who do not have a high school diploma. These figures, alongside data from the GOAL Collective and other peer organizations, reflect a strong and growing demand for English Language Learning. In fact, some local programs have already closed their English Language Learner waitlists due to overwhelming interest.
In response to these urgent needs, the Crievewood Campus will offer High School Equivalency preparation, English Language Learning, and Computer and Job Skills classes. With few adult education programs available in the area and a large number of underserved adults, we are confident that once this new campus is introduced to the community, enrollment will grow at a steady pace.
We are deeply grateful for our enduring partnership with Crievewood Baptist and look forward to seeing lives transformed through this exciting new chapter.
